Currently under construction, Summerset on Cavendish is a new retirement village and care home in Christchurch. Once complete, it will feature a state-of-the-art care centre and memory care centre.
The care centre at Summerset on Cavendish will include serviced apartments, care rooms, and single-room apartments in the memory care centre (for dementia patients only). Serviced apartments will be modern and comfortable with a double bedroom, ensuite, and separate living area with a kitchenette. Care rooms will come in three layouts: standard, premium, and deluxe. All layouts have room for a television, chair, and some small items of furniture. Accommodation in the memory care centre will be offered in apartment-style living with secure communal spaces and outdoor areas.
There will be seven levels of care available: supported living, supported living plus, premium care, rest home care, hospital care, memory care, and short term & respite care. Serviced apartments are Ministry of Health certified to provide rest home level care, and care rooms are certified to provide rest home and hospital level care.
Life at Summerset on Cavendish will be warm and welcoming, with plenty of activities to bring the residents together and keep them entertained.
